29 CFR 1910.37(b)(6): Each exit sign must be illuminated to a surface value of at least five foot-candles (54 lux) by a reliable light source and be distinctive in color. Self-luminous or electroluminescent signs that have a minimum luminance surface value of at least .06 footlamberts (0.21 cd/m2) are permitted.\  The employer did not ensure that each exit sign was illuminated to the required surface value. This exposed employees to smoke inhalation and burns in the case of a fire.  Abatement documentation is required for this item in accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d).

29 CFR 1910.303(g)(1): Space about electric equipment. Sufficient access and working space shall be provided and maintained about all electric equipment to permit ready and safe operation and maintenance of such equipment.  The employer did not provide sufficient access and working space about electrical equipment in the following areas:    a) Employees were exposed to electrical shock and burn injuries from insufficient access to electrical panels located on the back wall of the back room which were blocked by a boxes of product.    Abatement documentation is required for this item in accordance with the requirements of 1903.19(d).

29 CFR 1910.304(f)(1)(viii): Circuit breakers used as switches in 120-volt and 277-volt, fluorescent lighting circuits shall be listed and marked "SWD."  The employer did not ensure that the employees using circuit breakers used as switches in 120 volt and 277 volt fluorescent circuits were marked and listed "SWD". Employees are exposed to fire hazards from switches that are not designed for regular on/off switching.  Abatement documentation is required for this item in accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d).

29 CFR 1910.1200(e)(1): Employers shall develop, implement, and maintain at each workplace, a written hazard communication program which at least describes how the criteria specified in paragraphs (f), (g), and (h) of this section for labels and other forms of warning, material safety data sheets, and employee information and training will be met, and which also includes the following:   The employer did not develop, implement, and/or maintain at the workplace a written hazard communication program. Employees were exposed to incidental contact with oils and cleaning materials sold at the store, and employees trained on the installation of natural gas powered equipment were not trained on hazard communication. A written hazard communication program and safety data sheets were not maintained.   Abatement documentation is required for this item in accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d).
