29 CFR 1910.23(c)(1): Open-sided floors and/or platforms four feet or more above adjacent floor or ground level were not guarded with standard railings (or equivalent) and toeboards:Note: Toeboards are only required when persons can pass, there is moving equipment or there is equipment with which falling materials could create a hazard. At the time of the inspection, the mezzanine above the office was not equipped with a guardrail system exposing employees to a fall hazard when storing materials equipment. Abatement certification and abatement documentation is required for this violation. The documentation should include written verification of abatement, applicable measurements or monitoring results, and photographs or videos which you believe will be helpful. The abatement certification sheet is enclosed with the citations.
