Sources of ignition may include open flames, lightning, smoking, hot surfaces, frictional heat, sparks (static, electrical, and mechanical), spontaneous ignition, chemical and physical-chemical reactions, and radiant heat: Outside at Diesel Storage area , On or about January 6, 2015, and at times prior thereto, employees were exposed to burn hazards when parking next to the diesel storage tank while smoking cigarettes in the work trucks.
