29 CFR 1910.132(a): Protective equipment was not used when necessary whenever hazards capable of causing injury and impairment were encountered: a) Melting Department - The employer does not ensure personal protective equipment is provided and or used whenever employees are exposed to molten metal hazards capable of causing injury and impairment. On or about January 8, 2015 employees did not don adequate protective clothing to protect their arms, chest and back from splashes of molten metal. No abatement certification or documentation required.
