29 CFR 1910.134(f)(5): The fit test was not administered using an OSHA-accepted qualitative fit test or quantitative fit test protocol: The employer is failing to protect employees who are required to wear respirators to protect themselves from respiratory hazards including airborne concentrations of chemicals, such as, but not necessarily limited to lead for the following instances: A: In the permanent molding area qualitative respirator fit tests are conducted on employees who have facial hair that interferes with the seal of their tight fitting half mask respirators. B: In the continuous casting area qualitative respirator fit tests are conducted on employees who have facial hair that interferes with the seal of their tight fitting half mask respirators. 29 CFR 1910.1025(h)(1): All surfaces were not maintained as free as practicable of accumulations of lead: In the employee lunch room the employer is failing to ensure that employees are protected from hazardous accumulations of lead in that; the tables, microwaves and vending machine surfaces were not maintained as free as practicable of lead accumulations. Abatement certification and abatement documentation is required for this violation. The documentation should include written verification of abatement, applicable measurements or monitoring results, and photographs or videos which you believe will be helpful. The abatement certification sheet is enclosed with the citations. Magnolia Metal Corporation was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.1025(h)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 314054966, citation number 1, item number 4 and was affirmed as a final order on July 20th, 2010 with respect to a workplace located at 63859 730th Rd, Auburn, NE 68305.
