29 CFR 1910.178(p)(1): If at any time a powered industrial truck is found to be in need of repair, defective, or in any way unsafe, the truck shall be taken out of service until it has been restored to safe operating condition. WORKSHOP: The lights on the following powered industrial trucks (PITs) were not operable. 1. Yale 35814, the top right light not operable. 2. Yale, S/N A908M0342D, the right light not operable. Central Transport International, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health standard 29 CFR 1910.178(p)(1), which was contained in OSHA Inspection Number 77120.015, Citation Number 2, Item Number 4, issued on 12-05-11, with a final order date of 06-23-2011, with respect to a workplace location at 200 N. Mannheim, Hillside, IL, 60162. ABATED DURING THE INSPECTION.
