29 CFR 1910.178(l)(1): The employer did not ensure that each power industrial truck operator was competent to operate a power industrial truck safely, as demonstrated by the successful completion of the training and evaluation specified in paragraph (1): At the time of the inspection, operators of the skid steer loader used to move pallets had not been trained and certified in the safe operation as required by this section. Abatement certification and abatement documentation is required for this violation. The documentation should include written verification of abatement, applicable measurements or monitoring results, and photographs or videos which you believe will be helpful. The abatement certification sheet is enclosed with the citations.
