29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(3)(iv): The details of the hazard communication program developed by the employer, did not include an explanation of the safety data sheet, including the order of information and how employee could obtain and use the appropriate hazard information: The employer is failing to provide adequate Hazard Communication training to employees either during their initial assignment or whenever a new physical or health hazard that the employee has not previously been trained for has been introduced into their work area. Some of the employees in the facility, although having been trained were unaware of what a Safety Data Sheet (SDS) was or where they were located in the facility. Not being aware of the information on the hazards of the chemicals/materials in the facility in which they could be potentially exposed could lead to serious illness or injury.
