29 CFR 1910.242(b): Compressed air used for cleaning purposes was not reduced to less than 30 p.s.i. Maintenance Shop: On or about February 11, 2015 and times prior thereto, an air nozzle used for cleaning was operating at 90 p.s.i. This exposed employees to laceration/air embolism hazard from using an air nozzle that would not reduce if dead-ended with skin. The Fishing Company of Alaska, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.242(b), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 307507368, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 16 April 2011, with respect to a workplace located on the F/T Alaska Victory.
