29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. The employer is failing to protect employees from potential fall hazards associated with framing a commercial construction project with unprotected sides and edges where the fall was in excess of 6 feet. The most recent example of this was found on the job site located at 6201 O Street, Lincoln, NE 68510 where the employer had employees framing 11 plus feet above the ground floor without the use of fall protection.
