29 CFR 1910.23(e)(1): A standard railing did not consist of top rail, intermediate rail, and posts: a/ Inside of the Production area, the stair railings belonging to three flights of stairs were not equipped with an intermediate rail. One flight of stairs led to an elevated platform adjacent to the Bekum Extrusion Blow Molder Machine #53. A second flight of stairs led to an elevated platform adjacent to the Silo Inlet. The third flight of stairs led to an elevated platform adjacent to the Bekum Extrusion Blow Molder Machine #52. The fall distance from the top of each flight of stairs to the concrete floor below was approximately 98 inches.

29 CFR 1910.24(e): Fixed stairs were installed at an angle to the horizontal greater than 50 degrees: a/ Inside of the Production area, the slope of three flights of stairs exceeded 50 degrees from the horizontal. One flight of stairs that led to an elevated platform adjacent to the Bekum Extrusion Blow Molder Machine #53 was approximately 70 degrees. A second flight of stairs that led to an elevated platform adjacent to the Silo Inlet was approximately 65 degrees. The third flight of stairs that led to an elevated platform adjacent to the Bekum Extrusion Blow Molder Machine #52 was approximately 70 degrees. The fall distance from the top of each flight of stairs to the concrete floor below was approximately 98 inches.
