OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: the employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which was free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees:      On or about March 11, 2015, employees were exposed to a struck by hazard as the result of loads failing while in use by a crane which did not contain a means to secure the load on the hook. The 16 ton crane was in use in the casting department. The crane was used to carry and move loads in excess of 10-15 tons during the work shift. The crane contained a bent latching pin.
