29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): The employer did not provide one or more methods of machine guarding to protect employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: a) On or about March 7, 2015, in Motorcycle Tire Building area, the employer failed to provide machine guarding on Tire Building Machine No. 301 to guard employees from hazards created by the pinch point between the tailstock and the bladder of the machine. An employee was exposed and injured as a result of this hazard during the adjustment to the bead set on the tailstock of the tire building machine. ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED
