29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks. a) On or about 3/8/2015, while operating the grinding station in the Small Round Bar Conditioning(SRBC) area of the Harrison Plant located at 1927 Harrison Ave., SW Canton, Ohio 44706, the employer did not ensure that employees who operate the grinding station were protected from the rotating carryover arms as they bring bar stock into the grinding station. Additionally, the employer did not ensure that employees who operate the grinding station(s), to include but not limited too, located at the Intermediate Bar Conditioning IBC (5 total), Small Bar Line SBL (3 total), and Large Bar Conditioning LBC (2 total) are protected from the rotating carryover arms as they bring bar stock into the grinding station.
