Additional inspections shall be performed during sling use, where service conditions warrant. Damaged or defective slings shall be immediately removed from service: At the worksite: On or about March 19, 2015, the employer did not inspect the wire rope sling (snub line) on the make-up tong for damage or defects by a competent person before use each day.
