29 CFR 1926.600(a)(3)(i): Bulldozer and scraper blades, end-loader buckets, dump bodies, and similar equipment, were not either fully lowered or blocked when being repaired or when not in use: Near the back of the lot being cleared, the rear bucket was not fully lowered on a Caterpillar backhoe, model number 420E, after the operator left the backhoe and project site, exposing employees to the hazard of being struck by the bucket.

29 CFR 1926.604(a)(2)(ii): The opening in the rear of the canopy structure was not covered with not less than 1/4-inch woven wire mesh with openings no greater than 1 inch: Near the back of the lot, the opening in the rear canopy structure of the Caterpillar 320 DL excavator, used to clear trees and foliage, was not covered with not less than 1/4-inch woven wire mesh with openings no greater than 1 inch. The opening was covered with glass. Employees were exposed to the hazard of striking against or being struck by parts of the trees or foliage.
