Applicable administrative or engineering controls may include, but are not limited to the following: 1) Rotate employees so that employees only spend a portion of their shift in the powder coat booth. Additionally, conduct personal air sampling to ensure this administrative control is effective at reducing exposures below the PEL for each work position in the powder coat booth. 2) Remove employees from the Nordson 500 Series Powder Coat System booth. Utilize elongated powder coat guns/wands, automated powder coat guns and other controls, individually or in combination, in order to eliminate the need for employees to work in the powder coat booth. 3) Install a powder coat booth designed to: a) maintain employee exposures below the PEL or b) eliminate or limit continuous employee occupancy. 4) Conduct personal air monitoring to ensure implemented engineering and/or administrative controls are effective at reducing exposures below the applicable PEL.
