29 CFR 1926.304(d): Portable, power-driven circular saw(s) were not equipped with a guard above and below the base plate or shoe: (a) First floor, new residential construction located at 4669 Biscayne Circle, Powder Springs, GA 30127: Employee was exposed to amputation hazards while using a Makita (Model - 5007F) 7-1/4-inch Circular Saw with the lower guard fixed in the upward position with a wood shim. The lower guard did not retract after the cut was made which exposed the employee to the moving blade.
