29 CFR 1926.405(g)(2)(iv): Strain relief. Flexible cords shall be connected to devices and fittings so that strain relief is provided which will prevent pull from being directly transmitted to joints or terminal screws. At the project on or about April 3, 2015, the outside insulation on the power cord for the Hitachi Compound Miter Saw (SN: C750908) was pulled away at the plug end exposing the conductors within to possible damage, creating the potential for electric shock.
