29 CFR 1926.1051(a): Stairway(s) or ladder(s) were not provided at all personnel points of access where there was a break in elevation of 19 inches (48 cm) or more, or no ramp, runway, sloped embankment, or personnel hoist was provided:(a) (LOCATION) (IDENTIFY SPECIFIC OPERATION(S) AND/OR CONDITIONS) a) At the jobsite, on the roof, on or about 4/25/15: Employees were installing metal siding while standing on a low-slope standing-seam metal roof and accessed that surface by climbing the guardrails of a scissor lift. Edward Schalk & Son, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard CFR 1926.1051(a), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 932123 citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on 9/27/13, with respect to a workplace located at 5218 Patrick Road, Verona, NY. Abatement documentation must be submitted for this item.
