29 CFR 1910.23(c)(1): Every open-sided floor or platform 4 feet or more above adjacent floor or ground level shall be guarded by a standard railing (or the equivalent as specified in paragraph (e)(3) of this section) on all open sides except where there is entrance to a ramp, stairway, or fixed ladder. a. Located at 4760 East Fifth Ave. in Columbus, Ohio: Employees worked from a Rol-Lift platform lift, Model MHL03A517272IPPNNN, Serial 074566, to load and unload packages at Dock 2. There were no railings or safety chains located on the south side of the platform, exposing employees to an approximately 4 feet 2 inch fall hazard.
