29 CFR 1960.8(a): 29 CFR 1960.8(a): A place of employment was not free from recognized hazards that caused or were likely to cause death or serious physical harm: Downstream side of Lake Amistad Dam: On or about April 29, 2015, employees were exposed to a struck-by hazard when pressure washing gates on a dam, from a Lifting Technologies Man Basket suspended from a Grove Crane. In the alternative: 29 CFR 1910.180(h)(1)(i): The employer did not ensure that the crane was not loaded beyond the rated load capacity. Downstream side of Lake Amistad Dam: On or about April 29, 2015, employees were exposed to being struck by a Grove Crane that exceeded its capacity in the configuration used, while assisting in the lowering of two employees in a Lifting Technologies Man Basket suspended from the crane to pressure wash gates on the dam.
