29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: At the time of inspection, the employer failed to provide machine guarding to the Vaughn Motoblox 8HRM Serial # 12556. The side guards were only 56.5 in height, and only 12 inches from the drawblocks. There were no barrier guards in place at the end of the machine where wire is fed into, and on the side were the wire comes out of, there was a gap in the barrier guard of at least 12 inches.
