29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels was not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor was an alternative fall protection measure provided: a- Front Roof Facing Road, 217 Mantoloking Road, Brick NJ: Subcontractor employees (under the direction of the hiring company's project manager), not wearing fall protection, were exposed to fall hazards in excess of 19 feet to the ground surface below when performing roof shingle rip, tear, replace, and other related activities from a residential structure's roof with a pitch of approximately 8 on 12. Condition observed on or about 04/28/15.

29 CFR 1926.503(a)(2): The employer did not assure that each employee exposed to fall hazards was trained by a competent person qualified in the areas specified in 29 CFR 1926.503 (a)(2)(i) through (viii) a- 217 Mantoloking Road, Brick NJ: Subcontractor employees (under the direction of the hiring company's project manager), not wearing fall protection, were exposed to fall hazards in excess of 19 feet to the ground surface below when performing roof shingle rip, tear, replace, and other related activities from a residential structure's roof with a pitch of approximately 8 on 12. The company project manager, along with the exposed employees of the worksite subcontractor, had not received any fall protection training from the company at the time of the worksite inspection. Condition noted on or about 04/28/15. NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
