29 CFR 1904.39(a)(2): Within twenty-four (24) hours after the in-patient hospitalization of one or more employees or an employee's amputation or an employee's loss of an eye, as a result of a work-related incident, the employer did not report the in-patient hospitalization to OSHA. a) United States Department of Agriculture, U.S. Forest Service George Washington& Jefferson National Forests, Warm Springs Ranger District; 422 Forestry Rd. Hot Sprigs, VA 24445: On 05-15-2015 at about 5:15 P.M. , a Job Corps trainee firefighter came in contact with an energized downed, low-slung power line resulting in an in-patient hospitalization. The employer did not report the in-patient hospitalization to the Occupational Safety & Health Administration until 05-18-2015 at 8:30 A.M. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employee(s) and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
