29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems: The employer does not ensure that employees are protected from falling while on working surfaces at heights greater than six feet. This violation occurred on or about May 04, 2014, on the south side the construction site where employees were exposed to fall hazards while cleaning and preparing to grout precast concrete sections on the second floor of a building being constructed without any means of fall protection. Pursuant to 29 C.F.R. 1903.19, within ten (10) calendar days of the abatement date, the employer must submit documentation showing that it is in compliance with the standard, including describing the steps that it is taking to ensure that all employees performing construction activities at heights greater than six feet are protected from falling.

29 CFR 1926.503(a)(1): The employer did not provide a training program for each employee potentially exposed to fall hazards to enable each employee to recognize the hazards of falling and the procedures to be followed in order to minimize these hazards: The employer does not provide training to employees potentially exposed to fall hazards. This violation occurred on or about May 04, 2014, on the south side the construction site where employees were exposed to fall hazards while cleaning and preparing to grout precast concrete sections on the second floor of a building being constructed without being trained to recognize and minimize the hazards of falling. Pursuant to 29 C.F.R. 1903.19, within ten (10) calendar days of the abatement date, the employer must submit documentation showing that it is in compliance with the standard, including describing the steps that it is taking to ensure that all employees are trained in the topics covered in 29 CFR 1926.503(a)(2)(i-viii) and that the training is documented by a written certification record.

Pursuant to 29 C.F.R. 1903.19, within ten (10) calendar days of the abatement date, the employer must submit documentation showing that it is in compliance with the standard, including describing the steps that it is taking to ensure that all protruding reinforcing steel is guarded to eliminate the hazard of impalement.
