29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): "Unprotected sides and edges." Each employee on a walking/working surface (horizontal and vertical surface) with an unprotected side or edge which is 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level shall be protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. (a) Three (3) employees were working on the unprotected edge installing flashing to a parapet wall at a height of approximately Sixteen (16) feet above the asphalted alley way below without any fall protection. HERITAGE ONE ROOFING, INC. WAS PREVIOUSLY CITED FOR A VIOLATION OF THIS OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH STANDARD OR ITS EQUIVALENT STANDARD 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(10), WHICH IS CONTAINED IN OSHA INSPECTION NUMBER 314178526, CITATION NUMBER 01, ITEM NUMBER 002 AND WAS AFFIRMED AS A FINAL ORDER ON OCTOBER 4, 2010 WITH RESPECT TO A WORKPLACE LOCATED AT 2302 NORTH GALLOWAY AVE. MESQUITE, TX 75150.
