29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1): Employees shall be provided with eye and face protection equipment when machines or operations present potential eye or face injury from physical, chemical, or radiation agents. (a) Valencias Roofing @ 5220 Boardwalk Drive, Fort Collins CO 80524: On and before May 29th 2015, the employer did not ensure that employees were provided with ANSI approved safety glasses while using nail guns and other power tools. This condition exposed employees to serious eye injuries.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels shall be protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system unless another provision in paragraph (b) of this section provides for an alternative fall protection measure. (a) Valencias Roofing @ 5220 Boardwalk Drive, Fort Collins CO 80524: On and before May 29th 2015, the employer did not ensure employees installing new shingles on a 4 in 12 pitch roof were using fall protection. This condition exposed employees to a fall hazard of approximately 30 feet. Valencias Roofing was previously cited for a serious violation of the same or substantially similar condition of the Occupational Safety and Health Standard 29 CFR 1926.501 (b) (13); which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1009270, Citation Number 1, Item 2 issued on November 26, 2014 with respect to worksite at 344 Shawnee Lane, Superior CO 80027 and became Final Order on December 9, 2014.
