29 CFR 1910.303(b)(2): Listed or labeled electrical equipment was not used or installed in accordance with instructions included in the listing or labeling:  (b)  A green coffee pot was plugged into a power strip/surge protector (relocatable power tap). The UL listing states that relocatable power taps are designed for low amperage computer and audiovisual types of equipment, and not appliances.  This exposes employees to possible electrical fire hazards.    The USDA Rural Development was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard, which was contained in OSHA inspection number 979522, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on November 13, 2014, with respect to a workplace located at Yakima, WA.  The USDA Rural Development was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard, which was contained in OSHA inspection number 962945, citation number 2, item number 3 and was affirmed as a final order on July 9, 2014, with respect to a workplace located at Mount Vernon, WA.  The USDA Rural Development was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard, which was contained in OSHA inspection number 948706, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on December 11, 2013, with respect to a workplace located at Olympia, WA.
