Pulleys, any parts of which are seven (7) feet or less from the floor or working platform, shall be guarded in accordance with the standards specified in paragraphs (m) and (o) of this section.     On or about June 10, 2015; the employer allowed employees to work near unguarded in-running nip points on horizontal pulleys located 6', 16", 6",30" and 20" (respectively) above the floor in the area  of the Chop Machine, below the Cooling Tower, on the CMC-tagged Compressor, on the Port-A-Cool floor fan and the Dryline Bagging Conveyor, thereby exposing employees to amputation hazards.

29 CFR 1910.219(f)(3): Sprocket wheels and chains which were seven -7 feet or less above floors or platforms were not enclosed:    On or about June 10, 2015; on the Dryer Bed and the Dry Line Sewing Machine, the employer allowed employees to work near unguarded chains and sprockets where the in-running nip point on the Dryer Bed was 42" above the floor (1.5"- wide chain and 5" and 15" diameter sprockets) and the in-running nip point on the Dry Line Sewing Machine was 12" above the floor (two 6" diameter sprockets and 1/2"- wide chain), thereby exposing employees to amputation hazards.
