29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: Conveyor and movable table at end of die cutting machines, RockTenn, 320 Parker Street, Springfield, Massachusetts; Machine guarding was not provided to protect the operators of the die cutting machines or other employees from struck by hazards; a. The movable table at the end of the machine is operated by a momentary master switch on a control panel. The operator enters the space between the roller conveyor and table without any means or methods to guard him from crushing hazards or to prevent other employees from entering the space while the table is moving. b. The orange pusher bar on the roller conveyor is chain driven and is located next to a work table. There are no guards to prevent employees from coming into contact with the pusher bar chain or being caught between the bar and pallet.
