29 CFR 1910.179(l)(3)(iii)(d): Pendant control stations shall be kept clean and function labels kept legible.     On or about June 18, 2015, at the facility located at 1019 E. North St. in Ottawa, Kansas, an employee was exposed to struck by and caught in between hazards, in that the pendant control for the overhead crane was not clearly labeled for all of the functions of the crane.

29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(1):  Employers did not provide employees with effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment, and whenever a new physical or health hazard the employees had not previously been trained about was introduced into their work area and chemical-specific information was not always available through labels and material safety data sheets:     At the facility located at 1019 E. North St. In Ottawa, Kansas, employees using VOGEL PB-5337 Red/Brown Primer L/F, were exposed to hazards such as skin irritation and inhalation hazards in that employees had not been trained to recognize and avoid health hazards associated with hazardous chemical products.
