1926.501(b)(1): "Unprotected sides and edges." An employee on a walking/working surface (horizontal and vertical surface) with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems:    (a)  On or about June 8th, 2015 and at times prior employees were exposed up to a 30 foot fall hazard while installing wood fascia on a 6/12 pitch roof without the benefit of fall protection next to an unprotected edge of a multi-story complex in the vicinity of 3000 12th Avenue NW in Mandan, ND.    Note:  This company was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health standard or its equivalent standard which was contained in OSHA Inspection Number 979047, Citation 1, Item 1, and was affirmed as a final order on  8/14/2015, with respect to a workplace located at 3207 and 3209 Rutland Drive in Bismarck, North Dakota.     Note:  This company was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health standard or its equivalent standard which was contained in OSHA Inspection Number 950455, Citation 1, Item 1, and was affirmed as a final order on 1/23/2014, with respect to a workplace located at 5301 27th Street South, Fargo, North Dakota.     Note:  This company was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health standard or its equivalent standard which was contained in OSHA Inspection Number 98734, Citation 1, Item 1, and was affirmed as a final order on 11/27/2015, with respect to a workplace located at 3908 Bard Avenue, Boise, Idaho.      Note:  This company was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health standard or its equivalent standard which was contained in OSHA Inspection Number 97450, Citation 2, Item 1a, and was affirmed as a final order on 10/5/2015, with respect to a workplace located at Lot 3, Block 2, Spur Wing Greens Sub Division, Tree Farm, Meridian Idaho.
