29 CFR 1910.95(c)(1): The employer did not administer a continuing, effective hearing conservation program as described in 29 CFR 1910.95(c) through (o) whenever employee noise exposures equal or exceed an 8-hour time-weighted average sound level of 85 decibels measured on the A scale, or equivalently a dose of fifty percent:     The following employees were exposed to occupational hearing loss while performing routine work activities and the employer did not implement a continuing, effective Hearing Conservation Program:      a) An employee operating the CNC Pega 345K machine was exposed to noise at 82.3% of the permissible exposure limit (an 8-hour time weighted average of 80 dBA) or the equivalent sound level of approximately 88.6 dBA during the 396 minute sampling period on 7/9/15.  The exposure calculation includes a zero increment for the 85 minutes not sampled.       b) An employee working in the Deburring Room sanding sheet metal edges was exposed to noise at 67.0% of the permissible exposure limit (an 8-hour time weighted average of 80 dBA) or the equivalent sound level of approximately 87.1 dBA during the 394 minute sampling period on 7/9/15.  The exposure calculation includes a zero increment for the 86 minutes not sampled.      Abatement documentation is required for this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(d).
