29 CFR 1910.107(b)(1): The spraybooth was not substantially constructed of steel, securely and rigidly supported, or of concrete or masonry. On or about April 27, 2017, it was observed that the Wagner Powder Systems Powder Coating Spray Booth had a portion which was constructed of particle board and/or wood. This portion was on the back of the booth and was constructed of a combustible material. The employees are exposed to a fire hazard. Abatement documentation is required of this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(d).

29 CFR 1910.107(b)(9): A clear space of not less than 3 feet on all sides was not kept free from storage or combustible construction: On or about April 27, 2017, it was observed that there was storage of wood on a wooden table along the side of the Wagner Powder Systems Powder Coating Spray Booth. The material was combustible. Employees were exposed to a fire hazard. Abatement documentation is required of this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(d).

29 CFR 1910.307(c): Equipment, wiring methods, and installations of equipment in hazardous (classified) locations were not intrinsically safe, approved for the hazardous (classified) location, or safe for the hazardous (classified) location: On or about April 27, 2017, two operators spraying powder coating in the two Nordson Vantage FCM 6000 Powder Coating Spray Booths, had equipment which was not intrinsically safe or approved for the hazardous location as follows: a. One operator had a stereo/radio operating inside one of the booths. b. One operator had a radio, a cell phone and a fan operating inside one of the booths. The employees were exposed to a fire/explosion hazard. Abatement documentation is required of this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(d).
