29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems:    a. On or about 7/14/2015 on building "B"; workers engaged in framing activities were observed near the edge of the building, exposed to fall hazards above 43 feet to the lower level while receiving trusses via truck crane from the ground. The workers were not wearing fall protection.    b. On or about 7/15/2015 on building "A"; workers engaged in framing activities were observed wearing harnesses and were tied off but were not adjusting their ropes while moving around on the trusses while installing the plywood, exposing them to falls greater than 10 feet to the lower level.    c. On or about 7/15/2015 on building "B"; a worker engaged in framing activities was observed walking on the 4th floor balcony/landing exposed to falls of 34 feet to the lower level while receiving wood from the fork lift below. The employee was not connected.    d. On or about 7/28/2015 on building "A"; two sub-contracted employees were observed working on the edge of the buildings roof performing Thermoplastic polyolefin (TPO) installation. Five employees, including the two were exposed to fall hazards of 43+ feet to the lower level.    e. On or about 7/28/2015 on building "B"; a worker performing framing operations was observed walking up the roof to the exposed trusses while carrying wood on his shoulder and was not connected. The worker was exposed to fall hazards of 43+ feet to the lower level.    NorSouth Constructs was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 920761, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 8/23/2013, with respect to a workplace located at 1450 Commerce Drive, Decatur, GA.
