OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees from fires and explosions: (a) On or about July 14, 2015 and at times prior, for the employees exposed to fire and explosions where a Honda WT20X Trash Pump ignited a petroleum gas/vapor cloud at the well site identified as the Billabong 2-13-14HBK near Epping, ND. NOTE: Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method of abatement would be to follow the manufacturers warnings and guidance for use contained in the owners manual for the Honda Trash Pump WT20X which amongst other warnings:Do not pump flammable liquids. An explosion or fire could result; causing death or severe injury.
