OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employee in that the blow down procedure for acetylene cylinders created a flash fire hazard: a) Fuel Gas Plant: On July 21, 2015 and at times prior thereto MC acetylene cylinders were nested together on a concrete dock with their valves and/or valve stems opened, being blown down prior to maintenance. Note) Abatement certification IS required for this item.
