29 CFR 1910.133(a)(1): The employer did not ensure that each affected employee uses appropriate eye or face protection when exposed to eye or face hazards from flying particles, molten metal, liquid chemicals, acids or caustic liquids, chemical gases or vapors, or potentially injurious light radiation: On or about July 24, 2015, the employer failed to ensure that employees had adequate eye protection from the hazards associated with injurious light radiation. Employees working downstream of the welding operations, whose work stations face the welding operations, were exposed to constant arc flash through the portable weld screens, which were not intended to be used for long-term viewing of welding operations.
