29 CFR 1915.152(b): The employer did not assess its work activity to determine whether there were hazards present, which necessitate the employee's use of personal protective equipment. a) Norfolk Naval Shipyard; George W. Bush, Hanger Bay: On or about 07/22/2015, a hazard assessment was not conducted prior to the lifting of deck plates. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
