29 CFR 1910.132(a): Protective equipment was not used when necessary whenever hazards capable of causing injury and impairment were encountered: 320 Avon Street Stratford Facility: The employer did not ensure that the employees who were required to drive armored trucks to perform tasks, such as (but not limited to) Cash Services were not only provided with, but also wearing bullet proof vests at all times while performing the tasks to protect from the events, such as (but not limited to) an armed robbery. The Garda CL New England was previously cited for a violation of an equivalent Occupational Safety and Health standard 29 CFR 1910.132(d)(1), which was contained in OSHA Inspection Number 123192890, Citation Number 1, Item Number 1(a) and was affirmed as a final order on September 16, 2011, with respect to a workplace located at 320 Avon St Stratford, CT.
