29 CFR 1910.132(a): Protective equipment was not used when necessary whenever hazards capable of causing injury and impairment were encountered: a. Establishment - On or about July 7, 2016 the employer did not ensure that armed delivery personnel wore ballistic vests to protect from the possibility of serious physical injury or death from being shot while making deliveries or pick-ups at unsecured locations. Garda CL New England, Incorporated dba GardaWorld was previously cited for a violation of 29 CFR 1901.132(a), which was contained in OSHA Inspection # 1082356, Citation #2, Item #1, issued on December 28, 2015, with respect to a workplace located at 320 Avon Street Strafford Connecticut 06615, which became final order on January 25, 2016.
