29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system or personal fall arrest systems: At the jobsite located at 11321 W 166 Place, Overland Park KS, employees engaged in framing a new single family dwelling were exposed to fall hazards of approximately 21 feet and 5 inches from top of the wall to the ground below, in that fall protection was not used. ELITE CONTRACTORS, LLC WAS PREVIOUSLY CITED FOR A VIOLATION OF THIS OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH STANDARD OR ITS EQUIVALENT STANDARD, 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13), WHICH WAS CONTAINED IN OSHA INSPECTION NUMBER 943678, CITATION NUMBER 01, ITEM NUMBER 02, AND WAS AFFIRMED AS A FINAL ORDER ON JUNE 12, 2014, WITH RESPECT TO A WORKPLACE LOCATED AT LOT 221 MILLS FARM, OVERLAND PARK, KANSAS, 66062.

29 CFR 1926.503(a)(1): The employer shall provide a training program for each employee who might be exposed to fall hazards. The program shall enable each employee to recognize the hazards of falling and shall train each employee in the procedures to be followed in order to minimize these hazards. At the jobsite located at 11321 W 166 Place, Overland Park, KS, employees engaged in framing a new single family dwelling had not been trained to recognize and minimize the hazards of falling. Employees were working at heights greater than 6 feet without fall protection. ELITE CONTRACTORS, LLC, WAS PREVIOUSLY CITED FOR A VIOLATION OF THIS OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH STANDARD OR ITS EQUIVALENT STANDARD, 29 CFR 1926.503(a)(1), WHICH WAS CONTAINED IN OSHA INSPECTION NUMBER 943678, CITATION NUMBER 01, ITEM NUMBER 03, AND WAS AFFIRMED AS A FINAL ORDER ON JUNE 12, 2014, WITH RESPECT TO A WORKPLACE LOCATED AT LOT 221 MILLS FARM, OVERLAND PARK, KANSAS, 66062.
