29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): Machine guarding was not provided to protect operator(s) and other employees from hazard(s) created by point of operation hazards. Machine Shop, 24-34 Elise Street, Westfield, MA: On or about August, 14 2015 machine guarding was not provided to protect employees from point of operation hazards created by unguarded chuck heads on the metal lathe machines. (a) Machine shop, Lodge and Shipley lathe, unguarded chuck head. (b) Machine shop, metal lathe, unguarded chuck head. Specific abatement documentation that this violation has been corrected must be provided within 10 days of the abatement in accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d)(1).
