29 CFR 1910.216(c)(1): Safety trip, face. A safety triprod, cable, or wire center cord shall be provided across each pair of in-running rolls extending the length of the face of the rolls. It shall be readily accessible and operate whether pushed or pulled. The safety tripping devices shall be located within reach of the operator and the bite. On or about 8/14/15 located in North West corner of the building in the Winder area, the End of Calender Line; the employer failed to ensure that the Spindle Shaft Roller was guarded to prevent employee(s) from having any part of their body in the danger zone(s) during operating rotation(s): 88 inch wide x 5 inch diameter opening not guarded.
