29 CFR 1910.147(c)(7)(i)(A): Each authorized employee shall receive training in the recognition of applicable hazardous energy sources, the type and magnitude of the energy available in the workplace, and the methods and means necessary for energy isolation and control. Printing Department - On or about August 17, 2015, temporary employees on the 2nd shift (7:00 pm to 7:00 am)performed various tasks including operating the Polytype printers and bagger machines. The temporary employees were permitted to unjam the Polytype printers and bagger machines by hand. The temporary employees did not receive training as authorized employee's in the recognition of applicable hazardous energy sources, the type and magnitude of the energy available in the workplace, and the methods and means necessary for energy isolation and control.
