29 CFR 1910.134(d)(1)(iii): The employer did not identify and evaluate the respiratory hazard(s) in the workplace; including a reasonable estimate of employee exposures to respiratory hazards and identification of the contaminant's chemical state and physical form: a) Materion Brush, Inc. Elmore, Ohio; On or about October 9, 2015 the employer failed to evaluate respiratory hazards in the workplace and evaluate employees exposure to beryllium dust while cleaning the lint dust collector located in the laundry department. Exposure to beryllium can lead to health effects such as, but not limited to, chronic beryllium disease and lung cancer.
