29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b): On or about September 3, 2015, the employer failed to ensure that employees engaged in shingling of a steep sloped roof of a residential home were protected from falling to the ground level below. Employees were wearing harnesses however there were no anchor points present for the employees to utilize. Employees were exposed to a fall hazard of over 10 feet from the roof to the ground below. Pappi & Son Roofing was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 190687, citation number 2, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on June 7, 2012, with respect to a workplace located at 131 Brandemere Court, Elyria,m OH. Pappi & Son Roofing was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(10), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 314593146, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on June 6, 2011, with respect to a workplace located at 2628 Tremont St. Dover, OH, 44622.
