29 CFR 1910.95(c)(1): The employer did not implement an effective hearing conservation program as described in 29 CFR 1910.95(c) through (o) whenever employee noise exposures equal or exceed an 8-hour time-weighted average sound level of 85 decibels measured on the A scale, or equivalently a dose of fifty percent:  (a) Clinton Industries, Inc. - An employee working at the CNC techno router machine was exposed to continuous noise  at an equivalent level of 89.6dBA (decibels A scale) as determined from a sample performed for 240 minutes during one work shift on September 29, 2015.  The employer had not established nor implemented an effective hearing conservation program.  (b) Clinton Industries, Inc. - An employee working at the CNC router machine was exposed to continuous noise at an equivalent level  of 88.2 dBA (decibels A scale) as determined from a sample performed for 430 minutes during one work shift on September 29, 2015.  The employer had not established nor implemented an effective hearing conservation program.  Unprotected exposure to noise in excess of permissible levels is capable of causing permanent hearing loss.   Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and state employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
