29 CFR 1910.252(a)(2)(vii): Where practicable, all combustibles were not relocated at least 35 feet (10.7 m) from the work site. Where relocation is impracticable, combustibles shall be protected with flameproofed covers or otherwise shielded with metal or asbestos guards or curtains: At the host site, an employee welding a metal plate for a fall protection system in a paint booth where combustible materials such as but not limited to filters containing built up paint residue were not removed prior to the welding process exposing the employee to a flash fire hazard.
